Mind Renewed ("we", "our", or "the app") is a Christian Cognitive Behavioral Therapy companion designed to help you renew your mind with Biblical truth. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address and display name
• Authentication data (managed by Firebase Authentication)

As you use the app, you may provide:

• Thought records (situations, thoughts, reframed thoughts)
• Prayer journal entries and testimonies
• Bible study progress and notes
• Sermon notes and attached images
• Saved scriptures and bookmarks
• Profile preferences (age range, denomination, challenges)

We do not collect location data, contacts, or device identifiers beyond what is necessary for app functionality.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and personalize the app experience
• To generate AI-powered scripture suggestions and Bible studies (using the Claude API by Anthropic)
• To track your spiritual growth through the digital garden
• To enable social features (friend connections, shared milestones) that you opt into
• To send notifications you have enabled (prayer reminders, study completions)

AI Features & Third-Party Services

When you use AI-powered features (AI Reframer, Bible Studies), your input text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy and does not use API inputs to train their models.

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, and file storage
• Anthropic Claude API — AI-powered features
• API.Bible — Scripture text data
• Google Cloud Text-to-Speech — Audio Bible playback

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase servers. We use Firebase security rules to ensure that only you can access your personal data. Social features (friend connections, shared milestones) are only visible to friends you have explicitly added.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Your data is only shared in these limited circumstances:

• With friends you have added (only shared milestones and content you choose to share)
• With third-party services listed above, solely to provide app functionality
• If required by law or to protect our legal rights

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data through the app at any time
• Update or correct your profile information
• Delete your account and all associated data (Settings > Account > Delete Account)
• Opt out of social features and auto-sharing
• Disable notifications at any time

When you delete your account, all of your data is permanently removed from our servers, including thought records, prayer entries, Bible studies, garden progress, and any uploaded images.

Children's Privacy

Mind Renewed is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
